Forget band on the run, the future is band on the hub. That’s the offer from London-based BandCentral, which is showcasing its online collaboration and management tool at MIDEM 2010.

Launched in pilot form last February, it will use the spotlight of MidemNet Lab to present its new service, enabling bands to manage everything from communication, gigs, social networking, music tracks and merchandising, to money, tasks and files – all from one central, secure multi-login “BandHub”.

“For an industry completely remodelling itself, MIDEM is the perfect platform to talk to bands, managers and other industry people about the opportunities on the web,” said Belle Crocker, director of business development.

“The playbook on how to make money no longer exists,” according to Wil Padley, founder and CEO. “But there is also tremendous potential. Pioneering new services tip the balance in favour of the artist – and that’s very exciting.”
