Nielsen conducted a survey of 26,644 online consumers in 53 markets across the globe during September 2010. The broad set of questions covered music purchasing and listening habits. This study summarizes the consumer awareness of mobile apps and streaming services for music… and may give a direction to key industry questions:
Where should you put you put your app development money? Which apps will work best where? How to best use streaming? What is the balance between marketing tools and revenue generation services? What will make the consumer put their hand in their pocket?
