midemblog spoke to Alex White, head of music metrics startup Next Big Sound, one of the three winners of MidemNet Lab 2011 and one of the most successful music startups of all of late. We discussed how winning the competition has helped his business and how things are going right now.

“We would (have) kill(ed) for this sort of investor interest when (we were) starting out,” said White. “Once you get traction and paying customers… the investors want to invest even more when you don’t actually need their money!” Great problems to have indeed…
