Meet the midemlab winners! MPme, Crowdsurfing & Wild Chords

Curated radio, social concerts & music learning games won midem's 2012 startup competition. Congratulations!

midemlab winner category 1: Rahul Powar, MPme (Music Discovery, Recommendation & Creation)

Rahul Powar is founder of the UK’s Apsmart, the company behind curated radio service MPme. He discussed why he thinks his radio-sourcing solution won, and the service’s plans for the future.

 

midemlab winner category 2: Tim Ganschow, Crowdsurfing (Marketing & Social Engagement)

Tim Ganschow is principal at the US’ LiveOne Group, the company behind Crowdsurfing. The service allows fans to watch concerts online, whilst interacting with each other, almost as if they were at a real concert.

 

midemlab winner category 3: Christoph Thür, Ovelin (D2C Sales & Content Monetisation)

Christoph Thür is co-founder of Ovelin, the company behind music learning game Wild Chords. It’s a free iPad game where users by lessons to improve their playing skills.

 

And finally, Vivendi awarded a surprise “coup de coeur” award to the midemlab startup they fell in love with : rich media tool, Webdoc!
