At Visionary Monday today, the midem marketing competition’s first category prize went to Hungary’s Team Red. Its “Soundmapping” campaign for Vodafone, with artist Yonderboi, won the “Best use of music with an artist in a marketing campaign” category. The agency’s creative director Zoltan Istvanffy told us why he thinks the campaign won. Watch the case study video here.

 

Leo Burnett won the second “Best music placement in a TV commercial” category for its “Sprint/HTC EVO 4G LTE Launch” campaign. We got Leo Burnett’s VP, music director Gabe McDonough’s reaction to winning at midem 2013. Watch the spot here.
