midemblog spoke to Kevin Arnold, founder of OpenAura (and former founder of IODA) about his new service, which aims to provide an all-in-one solution for all musical assets apart from music itself, namely photos, videos, bios and more.

“The landscape as it is now is a bit stagnant,” he said: “we’re looking to help those visual experiences evolve into something richer and more artist-focused.” Indeed, OpenAura will notably give artists a degree of control over what assets are used to promote their music; something they don’t “have a say in right now,” said Arnold; “nor do they share any revenue generated. So we’re trying to fix those problems.”
