Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has announced deals involving singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins and Australia’s Albert Music, home of AC/DC and many others.
The publishingagreement with Loggins is worldwide, excluding North America.
“Kenny Loggins’ body of work represents some of the most well known and best loved songs of recent time,” said David Renzer, UMPG’s chairman and CEO (photo).
“We are tremendously honoured and excited that Kenny has chosen UMPG to now handle his music-publishing rights and we look forward to promoting not only his catalogue, but also the new songs that he continues to write.”
The sub-publishing deal with Albert Music covers Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Andrew Jenkins, UMPG’s executive vice-president of international, added: “The management team at Albert is one of the strongest in the business — highly motivated and very experienced.
Working together with Tim Prescott, Philip Mortlock and David Albert, I am sure we can look forward to many more international successes.”
