Consumer research & future trends consultancy The Next Big Thing‘s William Higham will moderate the Marketing Soundbox, a high level interactive music, technology and brands workshop at midem in January. To prepare for the workshop, he ran a survey of 1000 UK consumers, in collaboration with renowned online research agency OnePoll.
The study looks at attitudes towards music across the overall UK population and within key age, income and early adopter groups.
It identifies: how important music is in people’s lives compared with other leisure behaviours; favoured genres; music’s impact on advertising and endorsement response; and its influence on technology choice and purchase decisions across sectors.
