Cuban dynamo La Dame Blanche was among the brilliant highlights last night as the first gigs for Midem By Nights went into full swing on the Midem Beach. It showed international live music at its best. Other Midem Artist Accelerator finalists storming the stage were South Africa’s T$hego, BigStar and AKA.

T$hego showed why he is a young South African man on a mission to take on the world.

AKA‘s performance showed he is more than Known As, he’s destined to be truly known on a larger stage.

BigStar is getting ready for his close up in the international musicbiz.

Wildwood Kin were among the budding stars to take on the Sunset Stage and show why the Brits are Great during the British Music Night (with Music is Great and BBC Music).

Also on top form last night were up-and-coming Nina Nesbitt (below) and Tokio Myers, winner of Britain’s Got Talent.

Then two great DJs rounded off the night in style: South Africa’s Mo Laudi, here with Midem’s Alexandre Deniot:

And French DJ Single Spark, here with Soonvibes, drew proceedings to a close. What a night!
